As faith-based communities continue to grow across America, places of worship are welcoming more people than ever. While this resurgence of faith is uplifting, it also brings a heightened risk of security threats. Similarly, schools and other community spaces are increasingly vulnerable to attacks.
At Safe Sanctuaries, we are committed to addressing these challenges by offering comprehensive training that not only equips places of worship and school staff with the skills to respond to potential threats but also empowers entire communities to be proactive in securing their spaces.
Our programs focus on preparing Texas School Guardians, volunteer security teams, and community members with life-saving strategies to ensure safety and immediate medical response when every second counts. Through education and collaboration, we help create resilient communities that are ready to act in times of crisis.
Our Story
The Safe Sanctuaries Initiative was founded by Law Enforcement professionals on the belief that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. For years, our team has trained Police and Military members to respond to active shooter and active attack events, but we asked ourselves—what if we could stop these threats in the critical seconds before a tragedy occurs? What if we could help prevent these attacks entirely?
A common factor in targeted attacks is the presence of soft targets—locations with little to no security or armed resistance. The passage of Texas SB 2065 and House Bill 3 created the means for volunteers to protect their houses of worship and schools through armed volunteers. We seek to bring our pragmatic approach to protecting your community by bringing you the best instructor teams in the law enforcement and tactical communities.
Even well-established security teams will find our training uniquely challenging. We go beyond the basics, pushing teams to operate at their highest level under realistic, high-stress scenarios. Our programs are designed to identify weaknesses, sharpen skills, and introduce advanced tactics to tackle real world emergencies. Designed for all experience levels, the training focusing on mastering basic skills through effective practice and applying simple tactics and movement under complex problem solving scenarios.
